Meet with a Delegation of Cambodian Women Entrepreneurs and Executive Leadership

A delegation of Cambodian women entrepreneurs and government officers were visiting Seattle as part of an official women empowerment program organized by the US Department of States on September 25, 2018.

There were a welcome meet and great networking event at Mayflower Park Hotel organized by a few Khmer community organizations and there were a few local Cambodian professionals attended as well.

All of those delegates are successful women entrepreneurs in Cambodia who own at least one business and many of them also involve in one or more community organization in Cambodia. Two of them were Cambodian Government Officer. One of them was a secretary to the Minster of Women Affair and another was in the Policy department at the Ministry of Commerce.

They were visiting many places in the United Stated such as the White House, and many cities in California, Seattle and probably a few other.

They were meeting with other women entrepreneurs in the US as well as from other countries as part of the women empowerment program.

Many Cambodian were welcoming them everywhere they go.

It’s great that Cambodian women entrepreneurs have this great opportunity to learn from other successful women. They can use whatever they can when they return back to Cambodia. Not everything they learn, they will be able to use or implement, because the business environment is different, the laws are different and many more factors.

Some of them were leaving the next day, while some will stay a few more days to visit places or visit friends and relatives.

Good luck to all of them and hope they have learned something valuable for their businesses and their community organizations.
