First Time Visit to Apros Pub in Phnom Penh Cambodia

Apros Pub is very dark inside. You can barely see each other faces. The lightest area is the live band.

The dark light makes customers feel more comfortable sitting close to each other, because the tables are arranged very close to each other to accommodate more people.

The time was about 8:45pm. I was walking in with a couple of friends. We were greeted as we were walking toward the door.
“How many people?” asked a server.

Once got in, we were looking for a spot we want to sit. Most of the tables were taken except a few in the middle of the pub, in front of the live band. People don’t like the area? Maybe because it’s brighter than the rest.

We were offered to sit in front of the band, but a friend didn’t want to. He wanted a more private area. There was a spot to the left of the band, with a sofa and a big table. He wanted that table. The server hesitates, but she is OK after consulting another server.

The table was a little too bright for me compared to most of the tables in the pub.
The drink and food are pretty expensive.

The wine glass is very big. Almost feel too big.

My favorite food was dried beef. It was very delicious.

Live band started about 9pm or so after I sat down for a moment. The first singer was a guy. The second one was a girl. She sang English song. The volume of the music was at a comfortable level.

From the entrance door, the bar is to the right and the band is right in front.
Bathroom is located outside of the pub. It’s straight from the main entrance outside the pub. There was a lady standing in front of the bathroom entrance directing which side a person should go. She was holding some napkins waiting to hand them to customers after they wash their hands. A glass jar is placed on the counter near the sink. A few thousand riels were in the jar.

In general, it’s a good atmosphere for chilling out with friends, drinking wine, cocktail or beer and listening to live music.
