The Secret of Being Happy Just 15 Minutes a Day

Only 15 minutes day of benevolent thoughts, you will be happy.

Mathieu Richard, 69, is considered by scientist to be the happiest person in the world based on the brain scan done by a neuroscientist Richard Davidson from the University of Wisconsin.

Richard gives three advices on how to be happy.
Stop thinking ‘me, me, me’. Don’t think ‘me, me, me’ all the time. That thought is like putting your self against the world. Doesn’t make you happy that way. Strive to be kind and helpful. That state of mind is healthy for the mind and for the body.

Start training your mind like you’d train to run a marathon. No one runs a marathon without training. So why not train the brain to be happy. There is a view that the benevolence, attention, emotional balance and resilience are skills that can be trained. That means happiness is a skill that can be trained. How to train the mind to be happy?

Just spend 15 continuous minutes a day thinking happy thoughts. Start by thinking happy thoughts for 10-15 minutes a day. Typically when we have happy thoughts, we don’t hold it for long, because there are distractions in life that demand us to think of other things and many times also negative and unhappy. Try for two weeks, and you will notice the positive mind. If you practice for 50 years like Richard, imagine how happy you can be. You will be a pro at happy thoughts. You can control you mind to only focus on the positive thoughts. Davidson also found that even 20 minutes of daily meditation can make you much happier overall.
Doing this for 5 minutes every day can help people with depression.

Peace,
